Ministries
There is a place for everyone at Bethel
We invite you and your family to participate in one of the ministries at Bethel and experience a community of caring people
Bethel Youth
Encountering God together
Here at Bethel Youth we are all about relationships. We believe that our relationships with God and each other are what it’s about. If you’re looking to find out more about who God is or if you’re just looking for a legit place to have a good time with great people then come on out.
Junior Youth
(Grades 7-8) meets Tuesday nights at Bethel church from 7-8:30 pm.
Senior Youth
(Grades 9-12) meets Thursday nights at Bethel church from 7-9pm.
Care Groups
Wednesday Night Care Group
Matt and Lisa’s care group is open to young adults 18-25. We meet at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays in Langley for discussion and prayer. Our conversations typically revolve around how Scripture intersects with daily life and how we can best be followers of Jesus.
Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study
The Adult Bible Study happens on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:15 and is open to all adults. We tend to alternate between working through books of the Bible and looking at particular themes in Scripture. The atmosphere is fairly laid back with lots of opportunity for questions and discussion.
Thursday Night Care Group
Every Thursday night at 7:30 pm we meet at the home of Len and Darlene Wiebe. We begin the evening with coffee, tea and some goodies. After that we sing a song or two and have a bible study for about an hour. We end the evening by sharing with each other joys, prayer concerns, and ways that God is at work in our lives and those around us. The evenings are always a blessed time. We finish about 10:00 pm and always look forward to the next week.
Monday Night Care Group
We have a really cool bible study group that meets on Monday nights. We have a few crazy kids running around, so it can be chaotic, but we have lots of fun and spend time getting to know God more closely.

Senior’s Ministries
Seniors Ministry at Bethel Mennonite Church
Description & Purpose:
We are a group of mature Christians whose purpose is to meet together, enjoy fellowship and encourage one another in the Lord Jesus Christ.
A Heart for the Golden Years….
Everyone of us has heard the phrase “the golden years” used to describe the later years of life. While this phrase may be true for many, we also recognize that there are many who struggle through these years of declining health, depleting resources & fear of being alone. We keep this in mind as we approach ministry to Senior’s within Bethel Church, designing opportunities for meaningful fellowship & encouragement.
Women’s Ministries
Out to Lunch Bunch
A monthly (8 times a year) lunch out for women of Bethel, and their friends. It is an opportunity for women to meet, connect with women they know well, as well as those who they do not. We talk, laugh, eat and enjoy being together. Each month we meet at a different restaurant, attempting to try different cuisine, and in different communities. Starting for the fall of 2008 tickets for the Out to Lunch Bunch will be sold in advance, for $1. The monies gathered will go into a draw for a free lunch. Tickets will be available on Sundays after the worship service from Carole Wheaton, in the foyer.
For more information contact Carole at 604-514-3838.
Willing Helpers
A group of ladies, mostly in their senior years, who fellowship together once a month to encourage each other and pray for each other. We also plan special events within the group to help fund local and foreign missions, serve within the church and community whenever still possible (age & health permitting), and generally try to stay in touch with each other, which is important in our busy senior lives. For information on specially planned events or for more information about our meetings, call Elli Guenther at 604-850-1036 or call the church office. May God richly bless you as you read this.
